History
Before the Second World War, the Strandhotel’s building consisted of two large holiday villas. After the war, the two villas were merged and converted into the Strandhotel. The complexity of the stairs and walls still betrays the fact that the building once consisted of two different buildings. Many original details of the villas can still be seen in the hotel.
Since 1980 a lot has happened in the building. All hotel rooms are now equipped with private bathroom facilities, and a reception desk has been built. Every day we work on the maintenance of the building, a big job given the size and location (by the sea). From 2011, the Strandhotel is co-run by the second generation. The third generation cant wait to start helping with the business.

In 1991 the complex became the property of Joop van den Ende and today it is fully owned by Stage Entertainment. In recent years, the most successful productions have been staged here, from Les Miserables to the Lion King. The AFAS Circustheater also offers concerts, family and cabaret performances.

The musical AIDA tells the timeless love story of Aida and Radames. They live in a time when the world is against the love that arises between them.
